Mission
- Support U.S. national security policy objectives and U.S. military in Norway by fostering cooperation with Norwegian governmental and military organizations.
- Actively explore opportunities in which equipment, training, and education can be used to achieve U.S.-Norwegian objectives.
- Administer the U.S. Security Assistance Program for Norway.
- Facilitate cooperation in defense-related programs between the United States and Norway and support U.S. industry in their defense-related equipment sales to Norway.
- Coordinate the implementation of Logistics Agreements for U.S. prepositioned equipment in Norway and the host nation logistics support for U.S. Forces operating in, or passing through Norway during exercises, contingency operations or war.
- Provide advice, counsel and support as an integral part of the Ambassador's country team.

Vision The Oslo security assistance team builds U.S.-Norwegian relationships in order to enhance the region using U.S. military training, education, and equipment, coordinated with diplomatic and economic instruments, that promote the interoperability necessary to ensure stability, de-escalate crises that may occur, and resolve any conflicts on terms mutually favorable to the United States and Norway.
